There was nothing to like about the place as I suggest nobody book this place as its not safe,unhygienic and poor service.

This place looks absolutely incredible.. an old Arabic style house with all the elements and decors inside. I have tried fining its history online but no luck.. Its located on the outskirts of Stonetown, nice and quiet area, breakfast is the classic eggs, bred, fruits and coffee/tea, very reasonable price for the booking. Cant say enough about the place, I believe you should spend at least 1-2 nights here.. just to get that traditional Zanzibar stonetown feel.. Ive literally walked around and done a photoshoot of the place :)

The on-sie steward was helpful and kind. Although tired when we arrived, he managed to help us find a partial resolution to our problem for the 2nd night of our stay. The first day, Guava juice at breakfast was great. Second day, it was a little watery. Rest of the breakfast was OK but not beyond expectations.

I like the property of many reasons. Its location is perfect, its near to everything, such as an ATM machine, the ocean, many restaurants and cafes, even a bakery and the hospital and the city center, without being in the very center of everything. Its beautiful and quiet, with its old fashioned decoration with African crafts and art together with the Islamic influence of the culture. Well kept, beautiful lamubeds for example in the room and with a truly authentic feelinggood healthy breakfast with nice service, good management of the place together with a very good staff. The rest of the crew are also very nice friendly polite and helpful. It was a little bit on the expensive side for me, but still with good value for the money.

The hotel was in the perfect location for exploring Stonetown. It had traditional features and was very comfortable and quiet. The hotel is basic but the hotel manager made us feel very safe and looked after. The breakfasts were delicious and the staff were all really friendly.

It is an authentic Zanzibar building with furniture and decor to match. Its on a quiet street walking distance from the center of stone town. The hotel looks better in person than in the photos. The staff was hospitable and helpful! As far as needing a place to crash while spending the day doing other activities this hotel is very convenient esp on a budget
